Who We Are We are a neighborhood group of trained volunteers who:

This year's Mountain Pine Beetle flight season has started, so inspections are now limited to obvious faders and recently hit trees with soft, very sticky pitch tubes. General inspections will resume at the end of the summer flight season (usually in September).

Our Training BeetleBusters train with a forest health consultant and expert in the bark beetles infesting our forest. Novice team members are encouraged to inspect with more experienced team members. “Brush-up” sessions are offered periodically to keep team members up-to-date-on new developments.
   
Our Funding The BeetleBusters are volunteers. Funding comes from the Boulder Mountain Fire Protection District (BMFPD), the Pine Brook Hills HOA, and the Carriage Hills HOA. Many BeetleBusters buy their own supplies and donate them to the cause.
